As a new writer on Medium, I’m dismayed by what you’ve written. I, too, was about to put all my eggs in one basket but I will heed your warning and seek other ways in which to make a little money.

What is the solution, then? Should writers develop their own blogging platform and only allow unpublished writers and serious readers? Should we keep powering through with Medium hoping that our dedication and follow-through will put us in a good position by this time next year? Do we join Medium and become an editor? Do we write books and magazines and get them featured on Medium? Do we go back to our Wordpress sites with our tails between our legs?

What is the best solution to the Medium problem in your opinion?
