Five Nice Things is the perfect exercise for me to do right this minute. I only wish I had found this article yesterday when I was very depressed due to being stuck at home on Halloween.

My Five Nice Things are:

1.) My daughter has started taking the dogs for car rides to new hiking spots. They love the car rides and they love the new smells. They've been walking with me on the same route for almost 11 years! I won't put them in my car because one sheds like crazy so I truly appreciate my daughter for doing something selfless for the pets.

2.) I love my new blackout curtains. My ex-husband installed them and I cannot believe what a difference they have made in my room. The room looks more finished, more put together, and I absolutely love how I managed to find these curtains at a wicked discount.

3.) Full moons are always nice. Yesterday was sunny in the morning and then all of a sudden, the clouds came roaring in and stayed put for the rest of the day. Fortunately, the clouds parted later to reveal the full moon that I thought would be covered.

4.) Friends who have kept in touch come h*ll or COVID19. The numbers of people I consider a friend has dwindled so I've begun to appreciate the ones that stick.

5.) Birthday season has begun in my house. The nice thing about COVID is I don't have to go from store to store in search of stuff my family doesn't need. COVID has forced me to really think what would be meaningful to the birthday boy or girl.

I'll admit that was harder to do than I thought it would be but I'm sure it will get easier the more often I do the exercise.

Far more interesting internally than externally. I write to quiet the voices. Deleted Facebook & Twitter thereby immediately quieting 1000’s of voices.
